This item will include an adapter and another fitting. You can simply throw those extra parts into your parts bin/garbage can. You'll install this replacement sensor WITHOUT the washer/seal that is normally utilized on the tip of the original sensor. The new sensor has a metal to metal tapered knife-edge seal
