It's no secret the 5th Gen Cummins has major valvetrain issues. The OEM pushrods were not properly designed to produce an oil film layer to wipe across the bearing surface with each engine cycle. When this happens, the surface starts galling and will eventually start to "mushroom" the pushrod and wear into the swivel foot on the rocker. This kit features Manton Series 3, 7/16" X .120" wall pushrods crafted from 4130/4135 seamless Chromoly tubing with various heat treatments. Each features billet steel tip ends CNC machined from 86L20 bar stock, offering superior impact and wear resistance. These enhancements extend pushrod life and improve overall valve train performance. Manton's 2019-2024 pushrods have an oil flat machined on the ball to help allow oil to exit the hole in the rocker arm bodies cup. This design prevents galling and metal on metal wear. We've also received feedback that this kit reduces the cylnder head valvetrain "clicking" noise, but this is not a guarantee for everyone.
